3 years ago, I quit my 9-5 👇

No, it wasn’t to become a content creator or blogger.

Yes, that was right when it-shall-not-be-named happened (good timing, Sam) 🤦‍♀️

It was quite the time.

Since there are quite a few new people around here (hi! 👋 I’m stoked you’re here), I wanted to share a little of my story 👇

There’s been a lot of learning the past few years. Entrepreneurship is a roller coaster, that’s for sure. I’m incredibly grateful to work for myself, but it’s not what I was expecting.

While I had my 9-5, my blog was a huge passion project – it fired me up and I was always so excited to help people explore. Then when I started working for myself, it took a huge back seat. I barely touched it for two years (and social media was non-existent) – that was really hard for me to accept, but it had to happen.

Thankfully, I’m back to a place where I can do both. But I have to admit, I have an itch – an itch to get out; to see more; to do more. Sitting at a desk all day isn’t cutting it.

I don’t know what the future has in store, but I know it involves helping you see and do more, too! Let’s act silly together and do what feeds our souls ✨

BUT getting up when you fall (or jump into the snow) is a lot harder than you’d think! 🤦‍♀️

Walking backwards is also a recipe for a disaster — or a great laugh! 😂

If you’ve never experienced either of these, give it a try next time you’re snowshoeing — I promise you’re in for a laugh!

I’ve been waiting since mid December to go snowshoeing on a blue bird day! And today, thanks to our cold snap, it finally happened! ✨

Also, I’ve gotta add — snowshoeing at ski resorts is AMAZING! 💯

@silverstarmtnresort has so many different trails — some narrow through the trees, others wide open with beautiful views. We even had to cross a few ski slopes which was a little like playing Frogger in real life.

📍This is Chase Creek Falls in the small town of Chase, BC (located between Kamloops and Salmon Arm).

Would you believe me if I told you this waterfall is right on the side of the Trans-Canada Highway? 🤯

It’s only a short walk, too! Only about 0.6km total and takes about 10-20 minutes — largely depending on how long you hang out at the waterfall!
