I get asked “Where should I eat in Kelowna?” all the time and it’s so much fun sharing all my favourite spots! Kelowna’s restaurants are amazing—whether you’re after a casual bite, a fancy dinner, or the best patio in town, there’s no shortage of delicious spots.

I’ve lived in the Okanagan my whole life, so I know where to find the tastiest eats. This guide rounds up some of my favourite places to grab a bite in Kelowna, from brunch to burgers to waterfront dining.

Ready to dig in? Let’s talk about the best places to eat in Kelowna!

Best Patios in Kelowna

  • Maestro’s at Manteo: This patio is right on Okanagan Lake—literally. I love the beautiful lake views and the Mediterranean-inspired food is always so good.
  • Earls on Top: This rooftop patio is a Kelowna classic! It overlooks the downtown sails and Okanagan Lake and I always enjoy coming here for sunset drinks and happy hour.
  • Oak + Cru: I love how this patio feels fancy without trying too hard. It’s tucked inside the Delta Grand, right by the water but on the quieter side of downtown. It’s great for date night or a relaxed brunch.
  • Hotel Eldorado: This spot is such a Kelowna classic! I love that the patio is right on the lake and with the marina out front, boaters can just dock and dine. It’s also far enough from downtown to feel like a little escape, which makes it even better.

Best Breweries & Bars in Kelowna

  • King Taps: This place is always a vibe! It’s lively and fun and is the perfect spot to soak up the sun while enjoying a drink and lake views.
  • Office Brewery: One of my favourite new spots! Their craft beer is solid, but I also come for the cocktails and dessert flights—because who doesn’t love pairing sweets with drinks?
  • Kelowna Beer Institute: This spot has such a fun, laid-back vibe, and the beer is brewed right on site. I love grabbing a flight and hanging out on their patio.
  • Red Bird Brewing: This place feels more like a backyard party than a brewery and I love that about it. Picnic tables, live music, and even dog-friendly.

Vegan & Plant Based Restaurants in Kelowna

  • Frankie We Salute You!: This is the spot for plant-based eats in Kelowna. Everything is packed with flavour and made with local ingredients. I’m obsessed with their smoked carrot lox—it’s so good.
  • Naked Café: This cozy café has been a go-to for years! Their comfort food always hits the spot—filling bowls, delicous desserts, and next-level cauliflower tacos. Their “pulled pork” was one of my faves back in the day!
  • Buffalo Rouge Brewing: I love a brewery with solid food and Buffalo Rouge is that. Their reubens and Kentucky-fried tofu are so good, and the chill, industrial-style vibe makes it a fun hangout spot.

Brunch Spots in Kelowna

  • My Neighbourhood Restaurant: This has been our go-to for a no-fuss, chill brunch for years. It’s not overly vibey, but the food’s great and the servers are always friendly.
  • Norman’s Diner: I love a good retro diner and Norman’s nails it. The smoked salmon Benny is my go-to breakfast.
  • Bohemian Café: A Kelowna must-try restaurant! Their fresh-baked bread and house-made jam are so good, and their eggs Benny is one of the best in town. It’s cozy, quirky, and worth the wait on weekends.
  • Marmalade Cat Café: This cozy little café is perfect for a relaxed morning. Great coffee, fresh pastries, and a quirky vibe that makes it feel like home.

Best Burger Spots in Kelowna

  • Central Kitchen + Bar: Their burgers (and everything else if I’m honest) are so good. Their fries and cocktails are also amazing!
  • Copper Brewing: A brewery with a burger menu? Yes, please. Their smash burgers are simple but ridiculously tasty, and they pair perfectly with a flight of craft beer.
  • Bin 4 Burger Lounge: If I’m craving a gourmet burger, this is where we go. They’ve got a huge selection from classic beef to creative plant-based options and their house-made aioli lineup is delicous.

Best Pizza Spots in Kelowna

  • Antico Pizza Napoletana: If I’m craving authentic, wood-fired Neapolitan pizza, this is the place. The toppings are simple but always hit the spot and the whole vibe feels straight out of Italy.
  • Jackknife Brewing: A local fav for pizza lovers! Their sourdough crust is great and they get super creative with toppings. Plus, their craft beer lineup makes it the perfect spot to hang out.
  • DunnEnzies Pizza: Easily my favourite local spot for a big, cheesy slice. Their crust is crispy and the topping combos are so good. Their dill pickle pizza is my favourite!

My Favourite Coffee Shops in Kelowna

  • Bright Jenny: This is my go-to for a killer cup of coffee. The vibe is super cool, the patio is great for soaking up the sun, and their espresso is always on point.
  • Bean Scene: Their house-roasted coffee is strong in the best way and their baked goods—especially the power cookies—are so good.
  • Pulp Fiction Coffee House: If I’m in the mood for a cozy, quirky spot, this is it. It’s part café, part bookstore, and it has that old-school coffee shop charm that makes you want to stay for hours.

Best Ice Cream in Kelowna

  • Parlour Ice Cream: My go-to spot in all of Kelowna for ice cream! They’ve got small-batch, handcrafted flavours that change all the time. Plus, it’s right near the waterfront, so you can take your cone for a stroll.

Top Indian Restaurants in Kelowna

  • Chutney Cuisine of India: I love this place for a good, hearty Indian meal. Their tikka masala is rich and creamy and the naan is so comforting. Their portions are huge and we often get take-out.

Best Sushi Spots in Kelowna

  • Bluetail Sushi: This is our go-to sushi spot in Kelowna! The rolls are always fresh, the portions are big, and they’ve got a great mix of classic and creative options.
  • Momo Sushi: A solid downtown favourite. The prices are great, the sushi is always fresh, and the service is super quick. Their bento boxes are perfect for lunch and I love their yam tempura roll.
  • O-Zeki Japanese Restaurant: If I’m craving traditional Japanese sushi, this is the spot. They have amazing sashimi, fresh hand rolls, and some of the best miso soup in town.

Best Greek Restaurants in Kelowna

  • Olympia Greek Taverna: This restaurant has been around forever and for good reason! The portions are huge and it’s my go-to when I’m craving classic Greek comfort food.
  • Yamas Greek Restaurant: Their moussaka is amazing and I can never say no to their calamari. Jacob and I always split one of their massive platters—and somehow, we still end up with leftovers!

Kelowna’s got so many good eats, and honestly, I could keep going. Whether I’m digging into a juicy burger, enjoying fresh sushi, or relaxing on a patio next to Okanagan lake, there’s always something delicious waiting.

No matter what you’re craving—fancy, casual, lakeside, or takeout—there’s a spot for it. So grab your crew, pick a place, and start eating your way through town. Just don’t blame me when your foodie bucket list gets way longer!
